I am a post-doctoral researcher at the SAP group. I got my PhD at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, where I studied the neural substrates of individual differences in cognitive abilities. My current work focuses on neuroanatomical markers of language perception. I am also interested in brain plasticity and training-induced or developmental changes in cognitive abilities. To investigate these issues I use mainly sMRI and diffusion-weighted images, analyzed by means of VBM/SBM, deterministic/probabilistic tractography, etc. I am involved in several ongoing projects on these topics in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (UCLA) and the Montreal Neurological Institute (McGill University), paying special attention to the implementation of state-of-the-art brain imaging techniques.
